How to Brew Da Hong Pao Hua Xiang
Gaiwan Style (refined and expressive)
- Preheat your gaiwan with hot water, then discard
- Use 5 g of tea per 100 ml of water at 90–95°C
- Rinse briefly to awaken the leaves
- Infuse:
- First pour: 3–5 seconds
- Increase steeping time gradually with each infusion
- Suitable for 6–8 infusions, each revealing new layers of aroma and depth
Western Style (simple and familiar)
- Use 3–5 g per 250–300 ml of water at 90–100°C
- Steep for 3–5 minutes
- Resteep 2–3 times, adding time with each round
